How to draw a truck coming towards you

You will need a piece of paper a rubber a black pen and a pencil.

Now that you know how to draw a truck from the side it’s time to learn how to draw one that’s driving straight at you! Remember that the colours I’ve used here are just to show you which piece to draw – don’t colour in your picture until the end.

Start by drawing a hexagon as shown – make sure it has six sides.

Put a sausage shape along the bottom to make a bumper

Draw a curvy shape around your hexagon – it will look a bit like an armchair but it’s really the bonnet.

On top of the bonnet draw a kind of flat-topped hill. Then draw two brick shapes under the bumper.

Put a smaller flat-topped hill inside the bigger one to make the windscreen. Draw a horizontal line just above this to make a roof.

Use circles and semi-circles to make lights as shown. Put a smaller hexagon inside the big one and draw lots of fines across it to make an engine grill.

Now add five rectangles – two for wing mirrors two for head beams and one to make a licence plate.

I’ve coloured in my truck to make it look like a fire engine –  COMING THROUGH!

How to draw a tractor from an angle

So far we’ve been drawing objects from the side or face on. But what about drawing an object from an angle? Let’s take the tractor you learnt to draw earlier. This time you’ll need to show both front wheels not just one.

You will need a piece of paper a rubber a black pen and a pencil.

Draw three circles to make wheels. Look carefully at the position and size of each of the circles.

Now draw a curved line in each of your circles to give your wheels their 3D shape

To make the hubcaps draw a smaller circle inside each wheel.

Next draw the body of the tractor. To start try drawing a vertical line from top to bottom in between two of the wheels as shown above.

Draw two lines to connect the front wheels. Now draw the bonnet above the lines as shown on the left. This is the hardest part so it might take a few attempts to get it right.

The Tractor tyres need good tread -you can make this by drawing lots of little sausages! When you’ve done that add a circle and a curved line to two of the wheels as shown.

To finish off add some windows and a black rectangle for an engine grill.

Then colour in your farmyard masterpiece.

How to draw a tractor

Now let’s draw a tractor. In each of the steps below the part of the picture you need to draw is shaded blue – but don’t colour in your own picture until the end.

You will need a piece of paper a rubber a black pen and a pencil.

Draw two different-size circles side by side to make wheels.

Copy the picture below to draw the body of your tractor try drawing a straight line to join the wheels first.

Draw a circle inside each of the wheels. Now you’ve made some tyres.

Draw a much smaller circle in the middle of each wheel. Then draw lots of curved fines around the edge of each tyre to make the tread.

Look at the picture above. Carefully copy all the lines drawn to make the windows and

door. Add stripes to the bonnet too.

You could add a few more details to your picture before you colour it in. Don’t forget the cylinder-shaped exhaust pipe – it sticks up out of the bonnet.

How To Draw A Tractor

Drawing is often exploratory, with considerable emphasis on observation, problem-solving, and composition. With tractors it is is a form of visual expression and is one of the major forms within the visual arts. Learning to draw is the single most accessible form of art available. Drawing is a skill that everyone can learn. How to draw a tractor could be thought of as a process, not a talent. Drawing may be done with a liquid medium, applied with brushes or pens and  is generally concerned with the marking of lines and areas of tone onto paper. Drawing is also regularly used in preparation for a painting, further blurring their distinction. Drawing a tractor has never been so easy. Learning to draw is one of the most important activities you and your students can do.

How to draw a tipper truck

Trucks come in all shapes and sizes -here are some of my favourite ones. Once you’ve mastered using simple shapes, have a go at sketching them instead. The first one to try is a snowplough / tipper truck.

You will need a piece of paper a rubber a black pen and a pencil.

First draw three circles to make wheels then join them together with a straight line. Now draw the curvy cab. Put a rectangle behind it at an angle. Add the shovel.

Add a rectangular window and draw four squares to look like panels as shown. Add some more lines to the back of the truck to show how it’s being tipped up. Now colour it in.

Now make a rough pencil sketch of your truck. Study the picture can you see how some parts are made darker by using extra shading? Try it!

Build up the shading using layer after layer of soft pencil lines

How to draw a steam train

How_To_Draw_A_Steam_Train How to draw a steam train

Steam trains aren’t as hard to draw as you might think. Follow these steps and your train will soon be whistling away.

You will need a piece of paper a rubber a black pen and a pencil

Start with some wheels – draw two identical circles close together

To make the driver’s cab draw three sides of a tall rectangle on top of the wheel on the left.

Draw a long rectangle shape as shown to make the body – leave a curve in it where it meets the other wheel.

Steam trains need to be cleaned inside – so add a curve to make a dome-shaped door and use a tint rectangle for a handle.

Draw two little circles to the right of your big circles to make front wheels.

Now add two arch-shaped windows to the cab.

Draw three rectangles along the top of your train. Put some small circles inside all the wheels then connect the front wheels to the tram using little rectangles and lines.

Draw some rods to link the wheels together. Then draw three thin stick shapes along the top of the train.

Add two semi-circles for steam domes and draw a big steam funnel. Study the picture on the left to see what else you could add – I’ve shaded the extra details green.

Add a bell and anything else you can think off then your train will be ready to go running down the track.

Ideas for a Train Party

If your son or daughter is really into trains then for a birthday party you could have Trains as a theme for the party. You will be organising therefore a Train Fancy Dress party. Each child coming to the party will be expected to dress up in train fancy dress. There are many Train fancy dress costumes available for children from fancy dress retailers and costume shops. Thomas the Tank engine costumes are especially popular. There are also many Train driver costumes available which can be an alternative if your child does not want to dress as a train. The train driver fancy dress costume would be likely to be less bulky than a train costume therefore allowing your child more movement when playing games. If you do not wish to buy a full costume you could perhaps make your own outfit. For example a homemade train driver costume would consist of an engineers baseball type cap, a bright red handkerchief tied around the neck and a pair of dungarees, simple yet effective.

Bihani train toys are a must for young boys of all ages. Have a look at what they are offering.

How to draw a fire engine

You will need a piece of paper a rubber a black pen and a pencil.

Draw two circles for wheels. Copy the cab and body you can see in the picture above. To make the sky lift sit a triangle on top of the body then add two diagonal lines. Draw a square dangling from the top.

Add some more details  – don’t forget the windows. Now colour in your picture – red of course!

Now draw the outline of your fire engine again in pencil. Make the lines very light at first – if you aren’t happy with the shape you can rub out the lines without leaving too many marks. Now add some shading.

Make some rubble by drawing a line with lots of curves in it. Next draw some windows on your cab. Add a few more details as shown to make your dumper truck even more realistic. Now colour it in.
Next make a pencil sketch. Compare the different parts of the truck with each other to help you get their sizes right. Make sure you are happy with the shape of the truck before you start shading. The way you shade your picture can show whether a surface is rough or smooth

A digger looks like it could grab anything with its pincers – just like a crab.

You will need a piece of paper a rubber a black pen and a pencil.

Make a tyre by drawing a shape that looks like a squashed ring.

Draw a box shape to make the dipper’s cabin.

Add two curved lines as shown to make a second tyre.

Draw the digger’s arm in three sections – start with the section that’s attached to the cabin. Make the next section smaller and the third one smaller still.
